Project Description:
The Municipal Complex in the Village of Swanton, VT, houses Police, Fire, Public Works, and the Village’s administration. With all four departments/services in one facility, they have run out of space – impacting operations and efficiency. Additionally, the building poses a multitude of safety concerns.
The Solution –
The Village is proposing a two-phase project to the community. The first phase is the construction of a new Public Safety Facility to house Fire and Police. This modern facility will provide first responders with the space and resources to keep Swanton safe and secure.
Revamping Swanton Municipal Complex –
Once the Fire and Police Departments have settled into their new home, phase two of this project – the renovation of the existing Swanton Municipal Complex, will begin. This makeover will transform the municipal hub into a space that caters to the growing community’s needs.
The bond vote will take place in March of 2024. Assuming the project is approved by voters, construction is anticipated to start as early as September 2024.
