We are thrilled to announce that ReArch has been honored with an Excellence in Construction Award for outstanding work on the Winooski School District (WSD) Project in Winooski, VT!
On October 26, 2023, we joined Associated Builders and Contractors NH VT and recipients of the Excellence in Construction Awards in Manchester, NH to celebrate the best commercial construction projects in the northeast.
The ambitious WSD project included significant renovations and additions to six existing school buildings and one new stand-alone maintenance facility. In addition to being a large renovation, deferred maintenance, and code update project impacting 145,000 sf, 66,000 sf of new space was constructed. Throughout the 19- phases of construction, the school was continuously occupied and remained fully operational.
With a high-performing building envelope, the largest rooftop solar array of any VT school, geothermal, triple-glazed windows, and more, the facility is highly energy efficient.
This revitalization project serves the fastest-growing student population in Vermont and boasts 21st-century modernized learning environments. It’s more than a school. The facility is a community hub for students and families. Additions included a new gym, expanded student services, a new entry & cafe, a library, flexible learning spaces, STEM labs, new K-8 wings, and a community services center (medical and dental) for students and the community.
