Starting at just 14, Ryan worked alongside his family, renovating residential apartment buildings in the heart of Boston. This hands-on experience led him to explore further opportunities during college and high school breaks – honing his skills and expanding his knowledge in the construction field.
After graduating, Ryan joined Kiewit Pacific in Los Angeles as a project engineer, contributing to large civil projects. After that, he joined Shawmut Design and Construction. Here, he delved into various leadership roles, specializing in estimating, project management, and field supervision for large commercial endeavors.
Seeking new challenges, Ryan ventured to Vermont, becoming a hybrid building system installer with North Timber Associates and VT Timber Frame. Ryan’s dedication and expertise led him to a superintendent role with a local general contractor in Vermont. He excelled in managing commercial projects throughout the state, eventually holding the Director of Safety and Training position.
Ryan attended a 4-year high school training program for carpentry and construction in MA. He obtained a B.S. in Engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He has his 30-hour OSHA Certification and is First-Aid & CPR Certified.
Ryan resides in Fairfax with his teenage son. He enjoys the outdoors, finding new swimming holes, hiking trails, and road trip adventures. He spends as much time as possible with his son doing jiu-jitsu, playing games, learning with curiosity, and spending time with family.
