Project Description:
ReArch had the pleasure of completely renovating Pleasant Hills Apartments in Bristol VT. This 12,000 SF renovation project also consisted of an energy upgrade to the entire building.
As part of this upgrade, air sealing of the thermal envelope was carried out to improve the energy efficiency of the building and individual Energy Recovery Units (ERU) were installed in each of the 16 apartments, replacing the existing heat and hot water boilers. A full reroof of the property was completed and 2” rigid insulation was added before new siding, windows and doors were installed.
The existing parking area was extended and complete resurfacing and striping of the parking lot was carried out. Pedestrian walkways were repaved to meet ADA requirements. Other site work included replacing the existing 1000 gallon propane tank and lines, installing site drainage and upgrading the existing site lighting. A new trash enclosure was installed and paver patio area and planter box was built for tenant enjoyment.
Additionally, after the project was completed, the post blower door test showed a 35% reduction in air infiltration.
