Senior Superintendent
Overview
As a Senior Superintendent, Steve is responsible for all operations at the site level. Steve contributes to all phases of the project, from planning to project closeout, and often identifies cost savings value engineering items during design. A respected member of the construction community, Steve is responsible for enforcing the company’s safety policy as well as establishing an effective communication structure that provides updates to the architects, subcontractors, and owner. Steve’s ability to stay organized despite multiple competing deadlines allows him to clearly direct his team and to maintain a meticulous job site.
Since joining ReArch Company in 2007, Steve has successfully managed a variety of significant projects, including the fast-track construction of more than 54,500 square feet of LEED Gold certified corporate office space for Keurig Green Mountain. Steve has also worked on the University of Vermont College of Medicine’s Clinical Simulation Center, the corporate headquarters of Gallagher, Flynn & Company, and 22,000 square feet of LEED Silver certified space for Keurig Green Mountain’s IT division.
Experience
Prior to joining ReArch Company, Steve worked as a Construction Superintendent for Kenneth R. Adams Inc. of Milton, Vermont, for more than 20 years. Steve’s construction experience dates back to 1979 and includes commercial, residential, and concrete construction.
Education
Steve is certified as a Master Carpenter by the American General Contractors of America. He has completed college credits in both advanced blueprint reading and construction management. He has also completed a 30-hour OSHA certification program, HAZMAT response awareness, lead and asbestos awareness training, and has obtained his Red Cross First Aid & CPR certifications.
Background
Outside of work, Steve devotes a great deal of time volunteering within his local community and spending quality time with his family and friends. Steve has a great passion for the outdoors, including sugaring, hunting, fishing, and camping with his wife, Krista, and two adult children. Steve is currently President of the Isle La Motte Volunteer Fire Company, of which he has been a member for nearly 30 years, four of those years served as Fire Chief. He is medically trained and committed to safety.
