Estimating Coordinator
Overview
As the Estimating Coordinator, Ethan assists in providing support to the estimating team. He is responsible for writing subcontracts and owner contracts for current and future projects, proposal procurement, and most project bid documents and setup. Ethan supports the Estimators on any as-needed requests or tasks, including take-offs, buy out, mark-ups, and coordination. He also spearheads networking efforts and maintaining subcontractor relationships and ensures information is clearly and efficiently communicated.
Experience
Ethan started his development career as an Architectural Intern at Breadloaf Corporation, focusing on 2D and 3D modeling for the Landmark College Science, Technology & Innovation Center. He went on to work with Gilbane Building Company as a Construction Intern II, where he focused on submittals, RFI’s, and specification confirmations.
Education
Ethan received his Architecture degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. Aside from completing an Architectural Semester Abroad in Florence, Italy focusing in Urban Context, Ethan participated in the 2009 Governor’s Institute for Information Technology of Vermont, was a member of the winning team for the 2005 Odyssey of the Mind and completed a formal proposal for the Community Partnership Program that designed an exhibit space for the Herreshoff Marine Museum.
Background
Ethan is native to Vermont and enjoys competitive gaming, sailing and recreational volleyball and soccer.
